This thesis was done in collaboration with Nokia Corporation and Laurea University of Applied Sciences utilizing a Design Sprint method. The purpose of this thesis was to respond to Nokia's challenge by developing an innovative use case for Network-as-Code. The aim was to create a new concept and prototype and pitch these to Nokia. The given challenge drove the team to brainstorming, which eventually led to the creation of the concept: Nokia Network Boost, a web application that allows users to order a temporary and customized network connection to their devices. The knowledge base that the team gathered for this thesis presents the main concepts and technologies in relation to the concept of Nokia Network Boost. The team applied research methods such as benchmarking and interviews to gain insight into the demand for this type of service and to create a prototype with features and a design that meet the users' needs. Based on the feedback received from Nokia’s representatives, the concept of Nokia Network Boost is innovative and feasible and could have a potential impact on the market. Interviews also indicated a demand for the service and interest from potential end-users. In conclusion, the lack of an existing service that utilizes Network-as-Code and provides reliable temporary network connections creates a promising opportunity. Introducing this kind of service not only attracts partnerships with teleoperators but also creates an opportunity to promote Network-as-Code and its endless possibilities. Nokia could exploit this market gap to earn a position as a leader in innovative network solutions....
